Tomorrow brings about the first day of a new month. I want to wish you a happy first of May a day early & give you a ginormous pat on the back for being beautifully, vibrantly alive! Tomorrow also brings about the commencement of Mindful In May.
I'm going to go right out there & say that I'm notably chuffed with myself for taking two positive steps for myself whilst only lifting one foot off the ground. In signing up for Mindful In May not only am I developing my meditation abilities, I'm contributing to a significant global cause in which I'm passionate about. Like having my sugar-free birthday cake & eating it too.
The Mindful in May campaign is as simple as this: You dedicate 10 minutes per day, for 31 days to meditation. Make a heartfelt donation, plus encourage others to donate money along the way, working wonders for both yourself, as in incentive to stay committed to your practice and the developing world, 100% of all funds raised will go directly to building clean water wells.
When signing up for Mindful In May you instantly become part of a community striving to enhance wellbeing in our lives & in the lives of those in need. From day one you'll also receive daily support, instructions, motivation & weekly meditations. Meditation is known to reduce stress, improve mental stability & enhance happiness. For 100 benefits of mediation go here.
I'll be posting regularly throughout the month of May keeping you updated on my meditative journey with pictures, mediations, music... whatever assists me in getting the most out of my own meditation practice. I'll also be sharing my journey via Facebook & twitter. I'm being gentle with myself, I'm committing to 10 minutes per day only because this is easily achieved with my current lifestyle, but if there ever are days where I wish to meditate for longer I will, reaping all the more benefits.
You can view my campaign page here. If you wish to sponsor my campaign, you can do so by clicking here (but please, only if you feel compelled to do so). I can't express how moving that would be. Today is your last chance to sign up for Mindful In May or else wait until next year, you can sign up here. You might also like to take a look at the Charity Water website here to get a better understanding of their organization.
Here's to all good things in May, I'm a firm believer in doing good, brings about good so yes, I'm going to relish in this goodness.
